Born and educated in CornwalI in the UK. Later trained as an artist at Falmouth School of Art and Design. After working as a freelance illustrator for VW and Audi, I transitioned into teaching design and technology in mainstream education for 27 years. Throughout my career, I traveled extensively, documenting experiences in my sketchbook, which later inspired my paintings. Now, I dedicate my time to creating art in various styles, exploring new ideas. My Cornish business, Kreatus Design, celebrates fun, vibrant art that captures the essence of places and experiences, with a special focus on Cornwall, my cherished home.

I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, including acrylics, inks, and watercolors, when painting and illustrating. Sketching is a passion of mine, and I love capturing moments on the go, which I later expand upon using different mediums. I believe limiting myself to just one medium can feel restrictive, so I embrace the freedom of experimenting with diverse styles and techniques. In addition to two-dimensional art, I enjoy creating 3D sculptures, particularly using willow, which is flexible and allows me to bring imaginative ideas to life. Architecture fascinates me, and I often create models for clients, both physically and through CAD design. The transition from traditional art to digital design is a rewarding process, and I am fully immersed in CAD platforms like Procreate and the Adobe Suite, enjoying the creative possibilities they offer. This combination of traditional and digital methods enriches my artistic journey.
At Kreatusdesign.com, I am passionate about art and design. My love for creativity inspires me to create unique and beautiful designs that capture the essence of my own ideas and also clients' visions.
With over 40 years of experience in the art and design industry, I love to bring ideas to life. I try to use use the latest technology and traditional techniques to create stunning art and designs that I hope appeal to a wide audience.
I believe that communication is key to creating great designs. My processes involve working closely with my clients to understand their needs and vision. From there, I create a customized plan and work diligently to bring their ideas to life. This process is applied my own art. Asking for opinions or reflections it’s important. As an artist I try to evoke an emotion and hopefully give joy to the viewer.
Sketching and developing ideas is only a part of the journey. Sometimes just thumbnail sketches, added with artistic license can be just enough to bring to life experiences.

In Mousehole, Cornwall, is a historic 17th-century building.
